Inertia is raw yet melodic, funky yet tuneful journey
crazy reggae, punk ,funk, and rock-ballads.All with the singularly
awe-inspiring presence of the TenGooz trombone player.
There is no filler here. No need for a greatest hits album
with this band.

The TenGooz are an interesting blend of genres, they play well, good voice, great tunes. But beyond being well done, there's a sense of humor and craziness that just sets them aside as classic.

Almost all reviewers praise this album as if it was a masterpiece. Gimme a break! It's good, but nothing more. I like the trombone, not so often used in such popular music. Melodies are quite nice and catchy. Blending so many genres on one album (even on single songs!) is done quite wisely, so the result is not chaotic but raising interest. But...

It's too nice, smooth and lightweight. The result is these songs lack power and don't impress like they should.

The same can be said about the singer's voice, which is sooo nice, pleasing, delicate and sweeeet. He could make a big career in a boy band. Teenage girls would be delighted. But music with roots in funk, punk, rock etc. need completely different voice and completely different manner of singing.

"Johnny I" is an anti-war protest song??? :-0 I would never guess judging from the song's shiny happy atmosphere. "Kanashibari" is about a creepy medical condition??? :-0 So it's not about sweet girly eyes, what singer's voice and intonation suggests? ;-)

So 7 out of 10 is a rating with a credit... In hope they are capable of setting the stage on fire during their live acts. Instead of sweetening the public to death, what they are trying to achieve on this recording...

A Divine wind from the Far East.
Passion and politics.
Face to face is my fave.
Love it all though.
Infatuation is the greatest song ever written about a stalker!

Stranger by the tengooz moves me. I know how to be a
stranger in another country. I has a good beat and good
instruments.
Kanshibari is another song i understand.
i had kanashibari feeling many times.
Tengooz are best live.

A sweet collection of tunes with good melodies and
some good instrumentals. Some of the trombone playing is
real sweet! The production is a bit dry.Face to Face
leaves the biggest impression on me.BOMBS AWAY is
funky.Thats the kind of bass playing I like to hear!

This music is very filled with passion.I like the song Face to face.
it is full of passion and emotion. The song inertia is nice.I like the
trumpet and the bass playing together at the end of song.Infatuation is also
good.I do not like the song Kanashibari. It gives me bad feeling as we Japanese
feel strange about Kanashibari.Johnny I is grear mixture of reggae and punk.
