I love chimes. And these 'haphazard' rhythms are what begin The First Ray of Sunday. Despite all the chimes there is a deeper resonance to the track, with long loose rhythm structure. Primeval chanting and percussion take you back to the dawn of human time emerging from its own primordial soup of consciousness. Sun the original Father of All. The deep bass towards the end stamping its mark.

A Certain Point of View has an unusual beginning, that begins to resolve itself after about thirty seconds, quite dark, sombre, cold and a little harsh, but just right. Cold Spring Melody has a nice tone to start, which begins to bloom slowly. It feels quite sure of itself, quite steady in rhythm. It opens out into a deep, shadowy cavern of sound with the slow pace of the subterranean. And Then... The End is a slow, creeping rhythm that slowly encases you in its inherent chilliness, too cold, to sleep, forever, the end.

Ocean In A Box seems to capture an essence and create boundaries for it, the expression of such an amount of water in a box in musical form, expressed, transmitted, received and interpreted by me. It works well enough and was thankfully not seventeen minutes long. Quatermass starts deep but then his pit was, so to speak, so you might well expect some sense of gravity. Its structure is a very large, slow moving one but it still retains interest with mild diversities from the main theme. It actually manages to combine relaxing music with a curious disturbing element. Regardless, I really liked this track. I could see it in combination with the old black and white film, nice one!-)

Nobody has a slightly lighter tone but nonetheless an, apparently ubiquitous, sense of profundity to all these tracks. Likantropik flair! Celerity Ways Of Solitude, starts serenely and again, deeply from the outset. It's also quite light and airy in places, with a nice easy structure and flow. The final track, Joy, is a simple and effective piece of keyboard music, with some lovely backing.

Overall, a really nice chilled out album. Thanks!

Teilweise grandiose Ambient-Musik
- düster -geheimnisvoll – suchend – fesselnd - sich nie auflösend

Und ich will mich Pan anschließen

– „Joy“ sollte AUF GAR KEINEN FALL ungehört bleiben

This duo have managed to carve out a solid batch of songs that simply sound unlike anyone else doing this sort of thing. There are hints of modern classical, and sheer textures that you won't find anywhere else, and when played on headphones (or nice speakers)the refinement of their songs is literally a moving experience. Call it music for lucid dreaming, call it music for daydreams, or call it music for simply strolling in the dusk, this is another album that will stretch time and take you to another place.

Danke.
