I like this album. It gives a good first impression. Several tracks (especially "Struttin'" and "Lovely") are very catchy, and have a real fun sound to them.

Sometimes it sounds as though the singers are trying real hard not to wake up the neighbours or something, quite hesitant and perhaps a little shaky. I thought this was most obvious on "You Are God."

Still a very impressive album that will see a high rotation in my jukebox.

Similar mainstream artists are probably Enigma, Deep Forest (the less "world" stuff), Bjork, Coldplay and Doves.

So many different types of electric pop on this album, its just simply
awesome. From the first track 'Strutin' that gets you moving, to the
soothing like sounds of 'You Are God'.

First i read the description of the album - as i always do.
"...involving the work of 20 musicians located around the world, this album represents a true global collective effort...a blending of multiple styles, with a specific focus placed upon classical piano, 'listen' is a mature work of melodic electronica...share and enjoy!..."

After the first tracks, "Breath", "Alone" and - "Listen" - the very appealing vocals and the perfectly intonating piano, i thought for myself: Why can't ALL PEOPLE OF THE WORLD work together that way? Producing simply something beautiful, like this album of "t r y ^ d".

That album makes it definitely into my player! :)

Short and precise: Lovely like the sixth track on the album "Lovely"

Many thanks for this awesome album try^d and all the other musicians involved with that project!

First I listened to their other album, "Public Domain". I liked it, so I downloaded "Public Domain" and decided to download "Listen" too (even though I hadn't listened to it yet). Well, I burned all the songs to an MP3-CD for a road-trip and after listening to their song, "Beauty", I'm breathless. I'm glad I had a hard-copy of all the songs on my computer, because I wore down the CD after listening to "Beauty" about 20+ times.

Tri^d, you have amazing talent (leaving me breathless is hard to do). I loved almost every song on this album, but your song "Beauty" really touched me. You have so much creativity and there is so much diversity in your songs. I can only hope that none of that creativity and diversity changes when you are inevitably put in the 'spotlight' for creating such amazing music.

I can't wait to hear more of your amazing music.

T r y ^ d is one of these bands, which just manage to be uncomparable. This album lacks the 'earworms' like rewind, but it has songs which in the beginning seem bland and uninteresting but then, you are caught by the athmosphere and cry. Struttin' has the chance to become the 'Technologic' of the CC-movement since it seems to be very authentic.

Que dire sinon que c'est un album particulièrement réussi ! J'avais déjà été surpris par "the final rewind" dans un album précédent et ici j'adore "Lovely" & "Beaty".

Very nice release, it is reminiscent to some extent of Lamb and Hooverphonic, with a bit of Moby here and there.

Like the previous album, worth a listen.

I have been eagerly waiting for this for some time now, after listening to Public Domain for months (and still enjoying it!).

Theres a few tracks I gripe about, though.

"You Are God" and "Struttin" sounds too much like trance in my opinion. For "Empty" and "Breathe", I just can't put my finger on it. And that video for breathe, wtf??

The other tracks are wonderful. "Waltz Into The Moonlight" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I downloaded "Lovely", "Alone", and "Listen" (only the piano in background) from Tryad's website several months ago, plus their single "Beauty", and have enjoyed all ever since.
