A very strange album indeed. I have to admit, I was pretty enthralled by it.
It makes my music seem tame by comparison.
These songs are very abstract and are obviously not going to be for everyone. I understand why this appeals to some people, and I understand why it drives others away. This sort of music can't be explained, you either get it or you don't...You can argue that it's not music but that's a relative argument. Music is defined by cultural influence and the times we live in and not by a set of rules, any sound that has a temporal relationship can be called music.
One thing is certain, for better or worse it's quite bizarre. If you're looking for tame suburban 'indie' then stay away.
