This music comes from deep of the Universal Mind. Not the regular "meditative" sound, but this amazing tracks full of Light.

This album has been magnificently finished. The artist has put some really nice touches on it. It doesn't sound as if recorded with a 2 decade old microphone! All the songs (especially Moonlight and Let the Sunshine in) are soothing and melodious. Even the album art is awesome!

Great music , great production , a mix of moody blues like acoustic melody with skilled guitar picking and mystic merlin enchanted lyrics, this album deserves to be released on vinyl with full fantasy styled artwork, I can imagine myself listening to this back in my youth when music was much more than just a download.

Trully the Musician is first and foremost a Magican. These are the spells of a Master Magician recreated in wave form for the pleasure of the ear and soul. ENJOY!

As soon as i listened i loved these tracks. Simple yet complicated, bare but full. A wonderful paradox of sound. Although this music was home-recorded in a living room i think it stands up to much more proffessional recordings that i have heard.

On headphones the panning is excellent, the separation covering the full spectrum. There is a lack of bass on some of the tracks but then this is acoustic folk music. The scope of what the artist is trying to acheive some might say is too much, but i think not- he's obviously gone for the full-monty and thrown caution to the wind.

In previous reviews i have read some have described it as slighty retro- i can hear this too, but there is definitely something fresh, exciting and new in this atist.

I liked this music from its opening bars..Moonlight is a mystical/acoustic tune with 12 strings and lilting vocals. It really conjures up the image of a full moon.Let the sunshine in, put a real smile on my face for the rest of the day. I think one of the things i like the most is that each track for me resembles and gives me a crystal clear image of what the song is called.. I don't know if thats intentional ? Seagull is my favourite, emotional/broody/dark and light, and i love that flute/reverse guitar solo in the middle section.
I like the flute playing all throughout and i beleive the musicianship to be extremely strong throughout. The tracks are a bit on the longside, but for me thats cool. The vocalist has an interesting voice familiar yet distinct- keep it up. I strongly recommend a listen even if its not your bag.

I loved this album as soon as I heard it. I didn't think that anyone made music like this any more, with real instruments, real singing, real lyrics and real melodies. My favourite tracks are Seagull, Lady Jones and Enjoy the Nature. Seagull is so picturesque- the instrumentation and wonderful lilting shanty town rhythm completely conjures up an image of a seascape of dreams. Very inspirational and mood enhancing. Lady Jones is the epitome of brooding folk melting perfectly into present day pyschedelia- the sounds start really simple and build up to a crescendo of noises that really transport the mind to a different plane. Enjoy the Nature is unlike anything I've ever heard before... a mixture of reggae and folk with smatterings of hammond, barber-shop backing vocals blending with a choir chorus- I found myself genuinely smiling and feeling better about the day! The result is a hymn to the wonder of nature with a childlike simplicity that really appeals to the ear.
I've always been a huge appreciator of artists that are not afraid to break boundaries and experiment with new sounds, and The Golden Dawn satisfies that criteria with flying colours. Overall the songs are lovely, the style is superb and the melodies are so catchy that you'll be humming them for days! I can't wait for more.

A pleasant vibe indeed but I think most people might prefer edited versions of these tracks. The (excellent) vocal on 'sunshine' strongly reminded me of somebody but I took a while to realise who - Garcia, in fact.
I like 'the outcast'. With the folky changes and the echoing flute it reminded me of some of the gentler Hawkwind.
Perhaps these comparisons say something about my age. Hopefully they can be accepted as positively as they're meant.
The repeat vocal on 'enjoy the nature' could get aggravating if you were trapped with it in a small room.
'Seagull' has the advantage of getting to the point quickly. I would have put this one first. I think it's a strong piece of writing. Is the seagull flying through the singer's mind perhaps Jonathan Livingston? This beautiful track gives off that feeling. Some very atmospheric instrumental stuff happening in the middle there. There should be more keyboard-lead waltzes on Jamendo. Definitely a high point for me.
Lady Jones: the mandolin cuts in and for some reason I'm wondering if the Lady's first name is Brian. As the percussion enters the tension builds. Nice track.
There is obviously a lot of instrumental flexibility and thoughtful writing on this album. The singing is pleasant and the material is melodic and poetic. For my attention span, some of the tracks would benefit from editing. Then again, I'm a black coffee kind of guy. An afternoon listening to The Golden Dawn with a sketch pad and a smoke could be heaven for somebody else.
